Slover Library unexpectedly closed Monday

NORFOLK — Slover Library is unexpectedly closed Monday, and is expected to re-open later this week, according to a news release from the city.

The library’s air-conditioning system was damaged in Saturday’s storm. According to data from the National Weather Service, areas of Norfolk received 3.7 inches of rain over the weekend.

Parts to repair the air conditioning unit are on order, according to the news release, and the city expects the library to reopen later this week.

Those in need of library services can visit other Norfolk Public Library locations throughout the city.
