VIRGINIA BEACH — A Wells Fargo branch at 1068 Independence Blvd. was robbed Monday afternoon.

Police said it happened at around 2:38 p.m. A man entered the bank and demanded money – authorities did not say whether the suspect was armed.

The man left the bank “on foot” after getting cash. Police did not say how much money was taken.

There were no injuries reported.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s-30s, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. He has short hair and a slight beard and mustache.

He was seen wearing a zip-up sweatshirt, with a “graffiti print” t-shirt underneath, a dark colored baseball cap with white writing on the front and sunglasses, police said.
