Pedestrian killed in W. Little Creek crash

NORFOLK — A man died after he was hit by a car while crossing West Little Creek Road on Tuesday night, police say.

The crash happened in the 400 block of West Little Creek Road around 5:49 p.m. The man was using a crosswalk to cross the street when he was hit by a car traveling west, according to the Norfolk Police Department.

When medics arrived they found the man lying on the road and the driver of the car that hit him at the scene. The man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he died.

The NPD is investigating the crash. The Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office will determine if the driver should be charged, authorities said.
