Pedestrian hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after Virginia Beach crash

VIRGINIA BEACH — A woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car turning onto Shore Drive on Saturday morning, police say.

Police believe the woman was crossing Shore Drive when a car turned left onto the road from Shady Oaks Drive and hit her around 7:17 a.m.

The Virginia Beach Police Department is investigating the crash.
