Police: Man’s body found floating in water off of Stapleton Street on Tuesday

Norfolk police are working to identify a man whose body was found floating in water off of Stapleton Street on Tuesday afternoon.

Police found the man’s body in water off of the 300 block of Stapleton Street around 4 p.m. Norfolk Fire-Rescue retrieved the man’s body, and he was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death, said Norfolk Police Department Public Information Officer Daniel Hudson.

Hudson said the investigation has been classified as an undetermined death at this time.
