The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is gearing up for its Holiday Pops: Home for the Holidays performances this weekend in Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Newport News.

“Home for the Holidays will have all the magical elements you’ve come to expect — high energy, familiar carols and lots of holiday warmth,” Conductor Robert Shoup said in a release.

The concerts will feature seasonal songs and traditional carols by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra Chorus, the Virginia Children’s Chorus and soprano Adrienne Danrich.

The Virginia Beach performance is at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Sandler Center. Performances will also be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the Ferguson Center for the Arts in Newport News and at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday at Harrison Opera House in Norfolk.

Tickets range in price from $25 to $107. They can be purchased at www.VirginiaSymphony.org or by calling 757-892-6366. Students with an ID are $10, and $10 child tickets are available for the 2:30 PM performance in Norfolk.
