Meet Anne Smith, owner of Corner Gallery; an art gallery in Norfolk that features a select group of emerging and established artists.
Do you have a nickname? What is it?
A: I don’t really have one as an adult. As a kid it was Twinkle Toes because I danced.
What is one food that you will not eat?
A: I don’t eat sushi.
What was your favorite movie?
A: I loved Good Will Hunting
If someone was to give you a gift (money’s no object) what would you want?
A: Jewelry – I just love any and all jewelry.
What is your biggest fear?
A: Something tragic happening to anyone in my family.
What is the one quality you admire most in others?
A: I admire competence with humility.
Where is the next place you want to visit?
A: I want to go back to Carmel California. A lot of my gallery and personal style is very Californian.
If you had to pick one place in town to take a tourist, where would it be?
A: I would hit the Chrysler, MOCA, and the ViBe district. There are great eateries in all of those locations.
Describe your perfect day off.
A: My perfect day off would involve some form of exercise; running, yoga, or walking the dog. And then just the ease of not having anything on my schedule, just hanging out with my family. I would probably paint too.
