Meet owner of Garden Gazebo, Pam Katrancha and President of Alliance Francaise, Justine Smith; find out what they have to say about Bastille Day in Ghent.
Do you have a nickname? What is it?
P: Pam is what I go by instead of Pamela. My uncles used to call me Pammy.
J: I just go by Justine.
What is one food that you will not eat?
P: I tried fried grasshoppers and I would not eat it again.
J: In France they will cook bugs and eat them and I will never eat that.
What was your favorite movie?
P: Wuthering Heights and All That Jazz
If someone was to give you a gift (money’s no object) what would you want?
P: A all expense paid vacation around the world. I would want to stop at every major port and every major city in all modes of transportation.
J: A 3-star dinner in a fancy French restaurant.
What is your biggest fear?
P: Someone running a stop sign and hitting me.
J: To be lost.
What is the one quality you admire most in others?
P: Self confidence
Where is the next place you want to visit?
P: Key West
If you had to pick one place in town to take a tourist, where would it be?
P: The Chrysler Museum
J: Colonial Williamsburg
Describe your perfect day off.
P: Getting up early, exercising, and then having a leisurely breakfast. I would catch up on friends emails, go to lunch with friends, go to a matinee movie, have drinks and dinner with my friends or husband and then be home early.
J: Turn off my phone and just spend some time alone. I would go to the beach and swim. In the evening I would watch a French movie and eat French food.
