Meet President/CEO of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Bryan Stephens and Senior Vice President of Programs and Communications, Priscilla Monti.
Do you have a nickname? What is it?
B: In the military you have a call sign and mine was Warrior 6. My nickname from my old and dear friends is “B” and that comes from Muhammad Ali’s quote, “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” and my symbol was a bumblebee.
P: Cil – it started in high school and carried through college and my husband picked it up.
What is one food that you will not eat?
B: There is nothing that I despise
P: I will not eat beef
What was your favorite movie?
B: Gladiator and Braveheart
P: Notting Hill and Love Actually
If someone was to give you a gift (money’s no object) what would you want?
B: I would want to do something like give to a worthy charitable cause, eradicate disease, or promote Christianity around the world.
P: Spa day for everybody!
What is your biggest fear?
B: Spread of radical Islamic terrorism and where the values of our nation are headed.
P: My fear is daily wrapped around my child, I have a special needs child.
What is the one quality you admire most in others?
Where is the next place you want to visit?
B: I’ve got a bucket list that includes the Seven Wonders of the World.
P: I want to go back to visit Maine, it’s so peaceful up there.
If you had to pick one place in town to take a tourist, where would it be?
B: All of our seven cities in Hampton Roads are worth taking any visitor to see the unique and spectacular sights.
P: The Beach.
Describe your perfect day off.
B: If my children or grandchildren are not in town, a day on the golf course with good friends.
P: Run on the beach, hang with my family all day, and go to one of our wonderful outdoor establishments for dinner.
