James F. White, 84, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017. Born in Alabama, he was the son of the late Harvey and Maggie White.
James earned a master’s of science from Old Dominion University and worked for the Virginia State Environmental Health Department for over 42 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War. Mr. White also taught at Johnson and Wales University. He loved traveling all over the world, gardening and was an elder at Bayside Presbyterian Church. He loved people, and will be missed by all.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pung Cha ‘P.C.’ White and several nieces and nephews from Alabama to Virginia.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Bayside Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. David Rollins. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made in Mr. White’s memory to Bayside Presbyterian Church.
