NORFOLK — A 12-year-old boy is expected to survive after he was shot while inside of his home Thursday night, police said.
Officers responded to a call for gunshots shortly before 11 p.m. in the 1300 block of Goff Street. Upon arrival, they located the boy inside his home. He was transported to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters for treatment.
Police say the child was inside his home when a shooting broke out in a nearby parking lot. The child was hit by one bullet, police said.
