Jane Louise Roe Hallmark, 82, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017. She was born June 24, 1934, to the late Pearl and James Roe in Murfreesboro, N.C.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward ‘Ed’ Hallmark; two sisters, Shirley Jean Roe Vines and Irma Marie Roe Henry; grandparents, ‘Daddy Doc’ Bracy and Irma Marie Bracy, Arthur ‘Grandpop’ Roe and Mary Roe; and one nephew, James ‘Jimmy’ Besase.

Jane was a 1952 graduate of Craddock High School and later took business classes after high school. She was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge, Red Hatters and Parents Without Partners. She was employed with Transportation Services until her retirement.

In her leisure time, Jane enjoyed dancing, spending time with family and friends and child supervision. Her family was her largest hobby.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Dino Hallmark Sr. (Linda) and Ronald Anthony Hallmark; one sister, Joyce Ann Roe Besase; one brother, Arthur Thomas ‘Tommy’ Roe; four grandchildren, Amber Leigh Snook, Jayson Hallmark, Brooke Hallmark and Rachel Harrell; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Makayla and Emma; nine nieces and nephews, Ray L. ‘Larry’ Vines, Joni Vines-Dadros, Toni Vines Jones, Sarge Vines, Toni Besase Wray, Terri Lynn Besase Farmer, Victoria Henry Joye, William T. ‘Bill’ Henry and George ‘Buzz’ Henry; daughter-in-law, Lydia Hallmark; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Beach Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. A graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach.
