Marshall E. Belanga Sr., 79, passed away Sunday March 12, 2017.

Born in Princess Anne County to the late Luther and Melissa Ballance Belanga, he was preceded in death by his beloved brothers, Luther, Jesse and Marvin ‘Peanut’ Belanga; and half-sister, Pearl Yocum.

A commercial fisherman by trade, he was the happiest spending time in his shop, working with his tractor and sharing local lore and history with visitors.

He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Sandra Belanga; son, Marshall ‘Eddie’ Belanga Jr., and his wife, Mary; daughter, Merrilee Gumm, and her husband, Jeff; granddaughters, Shannon and Kiley Belanga, Jordan Howell and Rosie Gumm; nephew, Michael Belanga; and many special friends.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider a memorial donation in his name to the Judeo-Christian Outreach.
