NORFOLK — Asian restaurant Luk Fu will be a part of the Waterside District’s April opening lineup.
The eatery will be the second Luk Fu location. The original restaurant in the Maryland Live Casino opened in 2014.
Executive Chef Edward Evans said Norfolk can expect the same fresh, casual environment, and nearly 80 menu items.
“We’ll have authentic chefs cooking high-quality food to order,” he said. “We’re hoping to source locally and tailor the menu a bit to the area.”
Unlike typical sit-down restaurant settings, the Waterside District will offer a number of different seating styles, president Glenn Sutch said.
“While there are places that you can sit right there in the restaurant, you can also grab your food and sit in market, which is more of a gathering place,” he said.
Sutch said he hopes the restaurant and the Waterside District will cater to locals and visitors alike.
“We are the living room of Norfolk,” he said. “It’s not going to be your typical place.”
