Harry Declet, 68, fix-it genius who spent a lifetime as a handyman

Harry Declet, 68, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017. He was born in Puerto Rico to the late Fabian Declet and Alicia Garcia and was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise King; and grandchildren, Enrique J. Michael, Angelina R. Michael and Kaitlynn M. King.

Harry was a quiet-natured man and a fix-it genius who spent a lifetime as a handyman. He was married to his loving wife, Pura (Figueroa) Declet for 48 years. Both were members of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Virginia Beach.

Cherishing his memory are also daughter, Alicia (Christopher) of Alaska; son, Harry Declet Jr. of Suffolk; and grandchildren, Harry Declet III, Brianna M. King, Christopher D. Michael Jr., Jason C. King Jr. and Ethan D. Michael.

Visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
