Norfolk police ask public to help identify robbery suspect

NORFOLK – The Norfolk Police Department is asking the public to help identify a man they say robbed a convenient store.

Around 8:30 p.m., police said the man entered a 7-Eleven store, located at 3025 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. and hid items in his clothing. When store staff approached the man, he displayed a handgun and left the store, police said.

The man is described as black, in his mid-30s and about 5-foot-10-inches tall. Police said he was wearing a blue North Face jacket, blue jeans with a blue and purple belt and studded earrings.
