Ana Celsa Quinonez-Barnette Monostori, 24, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017.

Spunky and charismatic, Ana was tough as nails and had no fears. If there was an adventure to be had, she would be there. She was a fantastic cook and an avid book collector. Ana had a truly artistic view of the world and a knack for picking up on the smallest details of the world around her. She was an award-winning photographer, and pieces of her artwork hang at Tidewater Community College.

Left to cherish Ana’s memory are her husband, Ryan Monostori; parents, Aida Quinonez-Barnette and Brad Barnette; stepsisters, Marisha Fusco (Mike), Catherine Elise Barnette and Darlene Chatterton (Joel); stepbrother, Normand B. Barnette; maternal grandparents, Dario and Sonia Quinonez; paternal grandparents, Norman and Algene Barnette; aunts, Christine Barnette and Sandy Taylor (Paul); uncle, Rolando Quinonez (Randee); cousins, Kirsty Crizer (Tim), Samuel Robert and Jaelyn Crizer, Kaity Taylor, Natasha Quinonez (Edgar), Adelie, Eric and Edgar Quinonez and Kylee Barnhart (Nick); and the many friends she had.

A celebration of life will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Virginia Beach Christian Church, 2225 Rose Hall Drive, Virginia Beach. Flowers may be delivered directly to the church Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
