VIRGINIA BEACH – A Virginia Beach man was sentenced to 192 months – or 16 years – in prison for receiving child pornography.

Bruce Lee Scott, 30, pleaded guilty to the crime last October. According to court documents, Scott was given several pornographic images of children through a file sharing program online. After searching his home, investigators found more than 1,000 pictures and 46 videos of child pornography on Scott’s laptop.

Police said they also found evidence that Scott was in a sexual relationship with a minor, which the Virginia Beach Police Department is investigating.

Scott was previously convicted of indecent liberties with a child in 2006 and was required to register as a sex offender.

At the end of his sentence, Scott will be under lifetime supervision.
