A section of northbound Pacific Avenue will be closed until Friday because of storm drain work between 24th and 25th Street. Though construction is expected to be complete by Dec. 2, scheduled work is weather permitting, according to the city’s website.
Virginia Beach Public Works will install a storm drain to mitigate street flooding, as well as general improvements to the road. The project is expected to produce minor traffic delays, congestion and construction noise, according to the city’s website.
Drew Lankford, media and communications coordinator for Virginia Beach Public Works, said it’s part of an long-term project and not emergency work.
The city urges citizens to use alternate traffic routes.
