Aurora Lat Cuevas, 80, of Virginia Beach passed away on Nov. 22 in her home. Born in Lipa City, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Mateo and Jovita Lat. She was the widow of Tranquilino T. Cuevas.
She was a member of St. John The Apostle Catholic Church and Batangas Association.
Left to cherish her memory: her daughter, Rorielyn Cuevas Cawthorn, and her husband, Dr. John Cawthorn, of Virginia Beach; three sons, Arnes L. Cuevas, and his wife, Connie, of Virginia Beach, Tranquilino Cuevas Jr., of Virginia Beach, and Dennis P. Cuevas, and his partner, Timothy P. Loeffler, of Fairfax; a brother, Remigio Lat, and his wife, Gloria, of San Diego, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Matthew Cuevas, Erin Cawthorn, Kristen Cawthorn, and Kai Cuevas.
The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel on Saturday, Nov. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park.
