Terminal Boulevard’s $5 million resurfacing project finished Nov. 18, nearly two months ahead of the original contract date.

Now, the 2-mile stretch between Hampton Boulevard and  I-564 has a 6-inch layer of asphalt. The I-64 off-ramp to Terminal Boulevard west was resurfaced, too. Other improvements include new curbs, guard rails, gutters and storm water pipes, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation news release.

The project repaired a major road connecting to the Port of Virginia’s Norfolk International Terminals and Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads.
