Stephen Douglas Wright, 62, passed away suddenly at his home in Virginia Beach. Steve was born in Middlesex in Suffolk, England.
He was a Vietnam veteran in the Air Force where he was an electronics mechanic. He later retired as a computer network engineer from Northrop Grumman. Full of life and vitality, he loved shooting guns; working on his 1977 Corvette; his dog, Coco; and most of all spending time with his family, especially his beloved wife, Laura, at their beach house he called, “The Hooch.”
Survivors are his wife, Laura; father, Howard Wright, and his wife, Arlene Wright; sons, Justin and Jason; daughter, Mandy; brothers, Robert and Douglas; niece, Melissa; and many friends.
A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where U.S. Air Force honors will be rendered. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
