Norfolk police investigating undetermined death on West Olney Road

Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old man found lying on West Olney Road Sunday morning.

Police were called to the 1200 block of W. Olney Road around 2:20 a.m. where they found William Mayo lying in the road. He was unconscious and not breathing, and first responders pronounced him dead on the scene, according to a Norfolk news release.

Mayo’s death is being investigated as an undetermined death. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Norfolk is working to determine the cause of his death.
