Charles Richard Hall, 63, of Virginia Beach, passed away Nov. 7, 2016. Rick was born to the late Charles Thomas Hall Jr. and Frances Idell Skaggs, Jan. 20, 1953, in Norfolk, Va.
He graduated from First Colonial High School in 1971 and received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Pharmacy from the Medical College of Virginia in 1976. He met his loving wife, Carol Almond Hall, in 1977 and they were happily married for 35 years. Rick was a proud pharmacist and the owner of Barr’s Pharmacy on 17th Street.
He was a kind and generous man who was passionate about helping others. Rick loved spending time with his family, hanging out by his pool, the beach, snow skiing, watching his Dallas Cowboys play football, deep sea fishing and driving his Triumph TR6.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Hall; and children: Nicholas Hall, and his wife, Jonette Hall, and Jeffrey Hall, and his girlfriend, Ashley Knott. Rick is also survived by his granddaughter, Avelyn Hall; brother, Brian Hall; half-sisters, Vicki Smith and Krystal Hall; mother-in-law, Delores Griffin; and stepmother, Linda Hall. He also leaves behind many close friends who he considered family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments on Laskin Road in Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church with a reception to follow. Interment will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park.
