This Veteran’s Day, a non-profit organization called Brides Across America thanked military and first responder brides-to-be for their service by providing free wedding gowns. The initiative, called “Operation Wedding Gown,” has been held twice a year in partnership with bridal salons across the country since 2008, and hopes to lessen the financial burdens associated with wedding planning in the face of deployment, injury and post-traumatic stress.
