June Tribbett Farmer, 91, of Virginia Beach passed away on Nov. 3, 2016. She was born June 28, 1925 in Richmond, Va., to Freemont and Jennie Tribbett.
She is survived by her son Monroe Farmer and his wife Kathy of Clifton Forge, Va.; daughter Jennie Hilton of Virginia Beach; son-in-law Ronald Frahm of Greensboro, N.C.; five grandchildren: Sarah Denton and husband Elijah, Christy Farmer, Samantha Hilton, Robert Farmer and wife Whitney, and Stephanie Hilton; and two great-grandchildren: Kyla and Dax Denton.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Monroe Farmer and her daughter Sharron Frahm.
She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond and attended Richmond Professional Institute (now Virginia Commonwealth University). June was an avid reader and a charter member of the North End Book Club, established in 2000.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach, 300 36th St., Virginia Beach, Va. 23451, where June had been a member since the 1950s.
