The Minnesota Vikings have moved former Old Dominion University standout quarterback Taylor Heinicke from the non-football injury list and to the active roster, the team announced Tuesday.

Heinicke signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2015 after throwing accumulating 16,279 yards of total offense in his college career. He was on the active roster all of last season but did not play.

Before training camp this season, Heinicke suffered a freak injury off the field.
