Virginia Beach Elections
Many local, state, and national election results will be made available after polls close on Tuesday Nov. 8, including the Virginia Beach light rail decision.

Whether you’re interested in the local light rail decision, the Virginia Beach city council election, or our country’s next president, there are plenty of election parties where you can celebrate or grieve over Tuesday’s results.

After the polls close, the Republican Party of Virginia Beach invites voters to party with them at the Westin in Town Center. You’ll enjoy a cash bar, snacks, and some a musical performance by Cheap Thrills while the election results roll in.

For voters wanting to rub shoulders with fellow Democrats, try hitting the Work Release art gallery party, where the Norfolk City Democratic Committee plans to dance the night away to the music of DJ CanRock.

Need a place to let off steam while awaiting election outcomes? The Haygood Skating Center party is pulling out all the stops. Roller skate, bowl, and eat cheese pizza to your heart’s content. Extra points if you’re a veteran or a millennial.

For another millennial-friendly option look no further than Votechella. This music festival-themed voting party welcomes you to eat, drink, and be merry while watching election-related clips and movies.
