Admirals revise team roster

The Admirals have a win.

In the second of a two-game away series, the Norfolk Admirals notched their first win of the season Saturday, a 2-0 shutout against the Elmira Jackals.

The Admirals, the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton oilers, took the lead 47 minutes into the game, on a power-play goal by Domenic Alberga, with assists from Jeff DiNallo and Frankie Simonelli.

Maxime St-Cyr added an empty goal net with 9.3 seconds left in the third.

Admirals goaltender Eetu Laurikainen stopped all 24 shots by the Jackals.

The Admirals face the Toledo Walleye at Norfolk’s Scope Arena on Oct. 28-29.
