The Norfolk Admirals traded a defenseman Tuesday, a day after losing a starting goalkeeper to another team.

The Admirals, the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, traded Steve Tarasuk, 26, to the Alaska Aces, according to a release.

Tarasuk appeared in the season opener on Friday but was scratched from Saturday’s game. The Admirals lost to the Kalamazoo Wings in both contests.

Separately, goaltender Eetu Laurikainen was recalled Monday by the Bakersfield Condors. Laurikanen started both games for the Admirals against Kalamazoo.

The Admirals face the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at the Scope Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 7:15 p.m.
