Joseph V. “Joe” Alfano Sr., 66, passed away suddenly at his home in Westminster Canterbury, on Sept. 29, 2016. Originally from Johnstown, N.Y., he resided with his wife in Virginia Beach for the past 13 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 31 years, Michele; his treasured children, Joseph Jr. (Sarah), Alisha (Michael) and Shelby (Jim) and 8 precious grandchildren; his brother John (Patti), sister Delores (Kirk) and many dear nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters Frances and Lea.

He positively impacted anyone he met, he was generous, kind and loving. He had a twinkle in his eye and a smile in his heart, that will live on forever.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2016 at Westminster Canterbury on the Bay, 3100 Shore Dr., Virginia Beach, Va. 23451.
