Police: Armed robber injures Norfolk clerk

Police are looking for a man accused of injuring a clerk while robbing a Norfolk hotel on Tuesday.

Police say an armed man entered the Ocean View Inn, at 1020 E. Ocean View Ave., around 9:15 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk.

Although the clerk gave the man money, the suspect hit him with the gun. The clerk was taken to a local hospital where he is expected to recover, according to a Norfolk Police Department news release.

Police described the man as 6’3″ tall and wearing a red bandanna, black hooded sweater, black jacket, black jeans and white shoes. Anyone with information on this crime should call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
