Bienvenido Vocalan Atienza, 63, passed away on Sept. 12, 2016. Born in Angono Rizal, Philippines, he was the son of the late Pedro and Eusebia Atienza.

He retired from the U.S. Navy and was a member of International Christian Church.

Left to cherish his memory: his wife of 35 years, Aurora Atienza; daughter, Athena de Graaf and her husband, Brandon; son, Paul Atienza; grandchildren, Joe and Jordin de Graaf; brothers, Albert and Sonny Atienza; and a sister, Alex Samson.

The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at International Christian Church. Interment will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
