Zoe Lavinia Moritz, 93, served in the Women’s Royal Air Force

Zoe Lavinia Moritz, 93, passed away on Sept. 3, 2016, in her home.

Born in Berks County, England, she was the daughter of the late Clarance and Ida Richens. She served during World War II in the Women’s Royal Air Force and loved playing the piano.

Left to cherish her memory: her husband of 72 years, Frank Moritz Jr.; son, Kenneth Moritz Sr., and his wife, Ginny; grandchildren, Chrisie Adams and her husband, Austin, and Kenny Moritz and his fiancée, Tina; and great-grandchildren, Lily and Aubrey.

The family received friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016. A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Loyal Order of Moose, 1400 George Washington Hwy. N., Chesapeake, Va. 23323.
