Good news from the state for cocktail enthusiasts, especially if supplies are running low after Tropical Storm Hermine.
Virginia Beach’s Alcohol Beverage Control stores will be open on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Weekend store hours will remain the same, according to a release from the agency. This will include the new Sunday hours of noon to 6 p.m., which were announced in June by the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and became effective on July 1 at most locations in the state. Previously, ABC stores opened at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Virginia Beach is home to the state’s three highest grossing ABC stores. The highest grossing store for fiscal year 2015, 1612 Laskin Rd., pulled in roughly $8.26 million, according to the agency’s 2015 annual report.
