Robert H. Lewis, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 31, 2016 in his home.

Born in Lakewood, N.J., he was the son of the late Henry and Irma Lewis. Robert was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War era. Known as “Poppop” by his beloved family, he was an avid gun collector and proud member of the NRA.

Left to cherish his memory: his wife of 50 years, Audrey A. Lewis; daughters, Diana Lewis-Clark and her husband, Jim, of Norfolk and Cheri Rust and her husband, John, of Toms River, N.J.; and grandchildren, Savannah Mae Lindquist, Sarah Lewis-Butler, both of Norfolk, John Hunter Rust, Robert Francis Rust, and Callie Ann Rust, all of Toms River, N.J.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 150 Kempsville Rd., Norfolk, by Rev. Mark Bender.
