Thomas Alden Wood, 67, of Virginia Beach, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016.

Born in Bucyrus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Elton Edmond and Gwenlyn M. Wood. He was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Wood.

He was a carpenter and had a love for music. He sang, played guitar and left a legacy behind through his music. He was an avid gardener and loved to grow tomatoes.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Tommy and his wife, Teresa; daughters, Wendy and Amber and her husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Holly, Rusty, Alexis, Dustin, Hailey, Christian, Corey, Emily, Seth and Abby; brother, Dennis and his wife, Barbara; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at Princess Anne Memorial Park.
