             Robert Carl Napier

Robert attended First Colonial High School and worked at Dowdy Electric as an electrical supervisor until becoming disabled in October 2015.

Robert was an amazing man, a loving husband and father, an avid fisherman and a Washington Redskins fan through and through. His kindness, consideration for others and love for his family knew no bounds. He truly was one of a kind, and all are better from knowing him. His happiest moments were those spent on the beach with family and on the water fishing with his buddies.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara; his children, Heather Grabb (Robb), Michael Napier (Nicole) and Chelsea Napier; sisters, Patsy Michaels (Nick), Laura Johnson (Buck) and Mary Lynn Johanson (Matt); grandchildren, Robby, Hailey, Izzy, and one soon to be born; as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express its gratitude to Dr. Thomas Alberico, his staff and the 2 South Oncology Staff at SVBG for the many years of care and compassion; as well as to Sentara Hospice, as they are true angels on earth.

A memorial mass will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Virginia Beach, with a reception to follow at Footers Sports Pub in Virginia Beach.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Surfrider Foundation, Virginia Beach Chapter, PO Box 66035, Virginia Beach, VA 23466, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 3663 Marlin Bay, Virginia Beach, VA 23455, or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
