Mary Mendenhall Hill, 76, of Virginia Beach, Va., passed away July 12, 2016.
Born in McCutchanville, Ind., and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary called Virginia Beach, Va., home for the past 46 years. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Allen and Claire; her two brothers, Sonny and Michael; and her husband; Trafford Hill Jr.
Mary was a loving wife, mother and friend who had a passion for reading, horses, needlepoint and cooking. But her favorite activity was spending time talking with family and friends at her home on the Lynnhaven River. You would also seldom find Mary without one of her many beloved dogs by her side. Her kind, generous and caring sprit will truly be missed.
She is survived by her children, Trafford Hill ( Maryanne), Noah Hill (Cullen) and Susannah Hill; three grandchildren, Trafford, Emma and Noah; and a host of extended family and friends whom she loved dearly.
A service in celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1969 Woodside Lane, Virginia Beach, Va.
