Harry William Farmer Jr., 78, of Chesapeake, Va., went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2016.
Born in Roanoke, Va., he was the son of the late Harry W. Farmer Sr. and Carrie H. Farmer. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Harry was a U.S. Navy veteran who served his country proudly for more than 22 years. He was a member of Healing Word Fellowship Church and Beach Masters. He loved to fish, was a diehard Washington Redskins fan, a great husband, a loving father and an awesome grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Delores Farmer; five children, LaTanya Charlson, Valerie Warren, James Randolph III (Cheryl), Katrina Warren (Ashley) and Cassandra Warren (Jackie); nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Charles A. Farmer; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members as well as special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Will Smith.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, Va. The funeral service, led by Bishop Jermone James Sr., will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 22, at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, Va.
