Seafood rules during Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week

This trio is just one of many meal possibilities available to Norfolk residents during this year’s seafood-themed Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week, which begins today and runs through July 24.

Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant Bodega in Norfolk will offer a variety of course selections like the one above for $25 during the week. Dinner specials at participating restaurants range from $25 to $40 a person. Brunch meals are $12.

Some Norfolk Seafood Co.’s options include crab bisque soup, seafood jumbalaya and blackened salmon. Texas de Brazil will feature bacon-wrapped filet mignon, braised beef ribs and Brazilian sausage, among other entrees, sides and desserts for $35.

Diners who snap a photo of a Restaurant Week dish and post it to Instagram with the hashtag #DowntownRW have a chance to win a $50 gift card to a Norfolk restaurant.

Participating restaurants include 219 An American Bistro, 456 Fish, The Barrel Room, Big Easy Oyster Bar/Norfolk Seafood Co., Bodega on Granby, California Pizza Kitchen, Freemason Abbey, Gershwin’s, Omar’s Carriage House, Saffron Indian Bistro, Texas de Brazil, The Vineyard’s, Todd Jurich’s Bistro, Vintage Kitchen and Voila!

Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week is coordinated by the Downtown Norfolk Council. Reservations are recommended, according to the council’s site.
