Yukiko Brown, 67, quiet, humble native of Hiroshima, Japan

Yukiko Brown, 67, of Norfolk, entered eternal life on Wednesday July 6, 2016.

She was born Feb. 9, 1949, in Hiroshima, Japan, to Masao and Noriko Koizumi.

Yukiko lived a quiet and humble life. She believed in the Word, was a strong-willed woman and an awesome wife, mother and friend. She loved to go shopping for anything and everything.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Master Sgt. Emanuel Brown Jr., U.S.M.C. (Ret.).; daughter, Liaza Y.K. Brown; stepchildren, Kimberly Wilson, Emanuel Brown III and Antoinette Baker; grandchildren, Austin, Alex and DeMarcus; and additional relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016, at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Southside Chapel, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, Va., where a funeral service will begin at 6 p.m.

Burial will take place in Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the SPCA.
