John Edward Myers, 76, passed away July 10, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Norfolk, Va., the son of the late George and Clara Myers. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael, and a daughter, Bonney.
John was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired technician who worked for NCR Computers for 35 years. He was also an elder, Sunday school teacher and choir member at Lafayette Presbyterian Church. He loved his family, his church and his Lord.
John was much loved by all. He was the kindest, most generous, loving husband, father and Paw Paw.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Pamela Myers; sons, David T. Myers (Kathy) and Shane M. Barger; daughter, Melissa Fronefield (Jerry); eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Lafayette Presbyterian Church, led by Pastor Ted Hannawalt. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
