VIRGINIA BEACH – The public is invited to discuss the future of recreational youth sports in the city at a series of town-hall style meetings beginning Monday.

The Parks & Recreation Department’s Sports Management unit will host eight forums throughout Virginia Beach over the next five weeks. People will be asked about what youth sports they want, what goals parents have for their children in youth sports, and what level of competition the community prefers, according to the city.

Parks & Rec staff will also share the results of a Youth Sports Community Survey that was conducted this spring.
