NORFOLK – Economic growth and resiliency are the themes of a second annual convention to help small businesses.
The Center for Enterprise Innovation Small Business Resource Day is a free event that will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 13 at Old Dominion University’s Ted Constant Convocation Center. There, entrepreneurs and business owners can learn about products and services to help their business and network with other industry professionals.
Erika Small-Sisco, program manager for the Women’s Business Center and one of the event’s coordinators, said in a release that attendees will learn about cutting-edge projects happening in Hampton Roads.
There will be four focus areas: Built to Be Big, Inside Innovation, Road to Resilience, and Main Street and Military Community. Aside from networking, there will be seminars and exhibits.
The event is presented by the ODU Center for Enterprise Innovation, Woodforest National Bank and The ESG Companies. Proceeds from sponsorship opportunities, which are still available, go toward educational programming for innovative women-owned, veteran-owned and high-growth startup ventures in Hampton Roads, according to the release.
