Carl ‘Teddy’ Cleanthes, 72, peacefully left this world at his home in Virginia Beach on Saturday, June 25, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Spiliotis; father, Carl Cleanthes; eldest brother, John Cleanthes; and sister, Christie Emma.
He leaves behind his devoted friend, former wife and mother of his children, Venus Cleanthes; daughter, Christina Frank; eldest son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Alden Cleanthes; son and daughter-in-law, Aristotle and Kaitlyn Cleanthes; and son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Christina Cleanthes; grandchildren, Eleni, Athena, Zarek, Charlotte and two more on the way; his youngest brother, Michael ‘Mickey Clean’ Cleanthes; as well as many, many more dear family members, and friends all over the world. The Cleanthes family also pays special respect and acknowledgement to Erica Steele, Teddy’s partner, who selflessly cared for and comforted him more than any of us could.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Blue Pete’s, the restaurant he reopened with his sons, Nick and Aristotle, located at 1400 N. Muddy Creek Road, Virginia Beach.
