Josephine Helm Aniciete, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 22, 2016. She was born in Ormoc, Leyte, Philippines, to the late Edward J. and Dionesia I. Helm.
Josephine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cared for her family deeply. She enjoyed raising her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, fishing, bingo and playing games with her family. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of over 55 years, Angel Aniciete; son, Benjamin Rosal (Amelita); daughters, Susan Rosal, Frauline Arban (Wennie), Deborah Evaristo (Carlos), Bernadette Aniciete, Angelica Mariano (Rodrigo), Analisa Mago (Rolando) and and Bulet Labrador (George); grandchildren, Chris, Melvin, Melissa, Mark, Jessica S., P.J., Philip, Jessica A., Tonet, Marie, Evelynn, Patrick, Ashley, Angelo, Nicholas, Jeremiah and Meagan; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Remedios; along with extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, on Wednesday, February 24, and Thursday, February 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a wake service held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 25. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 26. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
